ipwn studios uses haskell, a cutting-edge functional programming language. we're the first commercial game studio to do so. we were also the first game studio to get haskell working on the iphone.
our game engine was built from scratch, and designed from the ground up to work on multiple platforms and next-generation hardware (some of which isn't even around yet). we use a functional reactive programming paradigm. combined with haskell, this allows us to write games in a way that no other commercial game engine allows.
we're not reinventing the wheel. we're beyond wheels. we're bringing the latest in programming languages research to market - something that can't be done with the usual languages. our approach and our tools let us avoid many of the pitfalls, inefficiencies, and limitations that traditionally plague game development
in any case, what do wheels even have to do with iphones?
